Small Pontoon

Lake Conroe water Laws
Rules of Water Operation On Lake Conroe:
1. All children 12 years of age and under must wear a life jacket at all times. All passengers must wear life jackets when tubing or while swimming.
2. NEVER tow another boat or be towed by another boat. Call Water Beaver for assistance for you or others. If your boat is having problems, call immediately. DO NOT OPERATE THE BOAT WITH ANY ROPE ENTANGLED IN THE PROP
3. Return boat at scheduled time. Failure to do so will result in extra charges.
4. DO NOT drive the boat within 150 feet of shoreline. You will be responsible for damage.
5. Keep the tow rope out of the propeller. Up to a $150 fee to replace rope and untangle from prop.
6. Stay 150 feet away from any marker buoys in the lake.
7. DO NOT drive within 150 feet of other watercraft or any buoy.
8. DO NOT swim close to the motor, even when it is not running. Do not allow any horseplay on or near the boat.
9. There is a “NO WAKE” area. Go VERY slowly until you reach the marker buoys.
10. There is a horn located on the driver’s side dashboard.
11. In the event of an emergency there is a throw cushion and a fire extinguisher below the driver’s seat. Immediately call Water Beaver.
12. Please leave the boat clean. Carry your trash out with you. There is a minimum of $100 cleaning fee if necessary.
13. DO NOT exceed the occupancy stated on your boat. Every head counts. The lake patrol WILL count heads and enforce the law.
14. Water Beaver will NOT rent any watercraft to anyone appearing to be intoxicated. DO NOT COME TO PICK UP INTOXICATED!
15. Kill switch MUST be worn by the driver at all times. This is a state law.
ACCIDENTS: DUTY OF RENTER. The operator of a vessel involved in a collision, accident, or casualty shall:
(1) render to other persons affected such assistance as may be practicable and necessary in order to save them from or minimize any danger insofar as he can do so without serious danger to his own vessel, crew, and passengers; and
(2) give his name, address, and identification of his vessel in writing to any person injured and to the owner of any property damaged in the collision, accident, or other casualty.
Failure to follow these Stop and Render Aid requirements in an accident that results in death or serious bodily injury is a Parks and Wildlife Code felony. Failure to follow these Stop and Render Aid requirements in an accident that does not result in death or serious bodily injury is a Parks and Wildlife Class A misdemeanor.

Age and Ability: The Renter affirms they are at least 21 years old and possess the necessary skill and judgment to operate the rented boat.
• To rent with a driver’s license: Must be 31 or older
• Everyone else: 21 or older with a valid boater’s license presented at time of rent.
Law Requires: If you were born on or after September 1, 1993, and are 21 or over, you must have completed a Boaters Education course to legally rent a boat and provide proof of such education or license at time of rental.
